About the work:
Mandalas are one of my favorite things to draw. Mandalas are visual mantras used to guide meditation. But mandalas, with their repeating structures, are also relaxing and meditative to draw. My mandalas usual contain representations of life (such as flowers and insects) and representations of death (such as skulls and bones). I invite the viewer to meditate and to contemplate the meaning and finiteness of their life.
