Skeleton And Flowers Linocut Watercolor Print
This 3x5 inch linocut print is part of an open edition. It is printed with Caligo Safe Wash ink on Stonehenge paper with a small press. I then added a grey watercolor wash to the background. Because this print is entirely handmade, each one is unique and slightly different.
This listing is for the print only. Any frames, stands, or other objects shown in the photos are not included.
About the work:
I am a dark artist living in central Wisconsin, US. The goal of my work is to contribute to the death positive movement by evoking discussion about the inevitability of death and to emphasize the beauty in darkness. My work can be seen as a modern memento mori, a reminder that one day we will die. It also serves as a reminder that death is a part of, and contributes to, life. In this particular piece, life and death are represented by skulls, bones, plants, and flowers.
