About the work:
I am a dark artist living in central Wisconsin, US. The goal of my work is to contribute to the death positive movement by evoking discussion about the inevitability of death and to emphasize the beauty in darkness. My work can be seen as a modern memento mori, a reminder that one day we will die. It also serves as a reminder that death is a part of, and contributes to, life. This piece represents my conflicting thoughts and emotions surrounding death (obsession, fear, desire) which have only been heightened by the pandemic.
